Dunk Low Premium ‘Setsubun’
$108.00
The Dunk Low Premium ‘Setsubun’ takes its name from a Japanese springtime festival, in which celebrants toss roasted soybeans around the house as a means of warding off evil spirits. A subtle cracked texture is applied to the beige leather upper, fortified with suede overlays in brown and tan. Contrasting purple accents settle on the collar lining and Swoosh, as well as an embroidered demon graphic on the lateral heel. Inside the shoe, custom sockliners feature Edo-period artwork that depicts a legendary demon-slaying warrior.

Description
The Dunk Low Premium ‘Setsubun’ is an exquisite tribute to the Japanese tradition of Setsubun, a festival marking the beginning of spring, celebrated by driving away evil spirits and bringing in good fortune. This sneaker is a fusion of cultural homage and streetwear style, showcasing a design that’s as rich in symbolism as it is in aesthetic appeal. The ‘Setsubun’ edition is distinguished by its unique color palette and detailed motifs that reference the customs and stories associated with the festival.
Constructed with a mix of premium materials, the sneaker features a textured upper that mimics the appearance of traditional Japanese fabrics, blending deep indigos, vibrant reds, and soothing greens. These colors not only reflect the ceremonial garments worn during Setsubun but also add a layer of depth and sophistication to the sneaker’s design. Intricate details, such as demon-inspired graphics and bean-like textures, nod to the Setsubun practice of throwing beans to ward off evil spirits, adding a playful and meaningful element to the shoe.

Equipped with N1ke’s comfort technology, including a padded collar and durable rubber outsole, this sneaker is designed for everyday wear, allowing you to carry a piece of Japanese tradition with you wherever you go.
