Kobe 5 Protro ‘EYBL Academy’ PE

Description

The Kobe 5 Protro ‘EYBL Academy’ PE brings a vibrant player-exclusive treatment to Kobe Bryant’s iconic low-top basketball silhouette. The upper combines a bold turquoise and black color scheme, creating a sharp contrast that emphasizes the Kobe 5’s streamlined, performance-driven construction.

Bright turquoise panels cover the forefoot, tongue and lateral side, while black overlays frame the upper for a sleek, aggressive look. The lateral side features an oversized black Swoosh with vivid blue outlining, adding another layer of contrast to the translucent-style side panel. Kobe’s signature Sheath logo appears prominently on the tongue.

Built around the Kobe 5’s low-profile basketball platform, the Protro construction updates the original performance concept for responsive movement on court. The supportive upper is engineered to provide containment during quick cuts and directional changes, while the low-cut collar promotes freedom of movement around the ankle.

Underfoot, the streamlined cushioning setup works with the low-to-the-ground midsole geometry to provide responsive comfort and court feel. A durable rubber outsole delivers multidirectional traction, completing a performance-focused design created for fast, explosive basketball.
