Description
The Dunk Low Pro SB ‘Purple Pigeon’ is a highly sought-after sneaker that belongs to Nike’s illustrious Dunk SB line, known for its unique colorways and skateboarding-specific enhancements. This particular model is a follow-up to the famous ‘Pigeon’ release, adding a fresh and vibrant twist with its striking purple accents, while still maintaining the heritage and allure of its predecessor.
The ‘Purple Pigeon’ features a soft, lavender-grey suede upper that provides a luxurious feel and an appealing look. The accents of deep purple on the Swoosh, heel tab, and outsole offer a bold contrast that enhances the shoe’s visual appeal, making it stand out in both the skate park and on the streets. The muted base color and brighter details strike a balance, making the sneaker versatile and stylish.
In terms of construction, the Dunk Low Pro SB is designed with skateboarders in mind. It includes a padded tongue and collar for added comfort and support, crucial for the rigors of skateboarding. The Zoom Air unit in the heel of the insole offers responsive cushioning, which helps absorb impact during skating activities. The outsole is made of durable rubber with a pivot circle pattern, providing excellent grip and flexibility, essential for performance and everyday wear.
Nike also integrated thoughtful details into the ‘Purple Pigeon’ design, such as the embroidered pigeon logo on the heel, a nod to the original Pigeon Dunk and a signature of the exclusive nature of this sneaker. This detail not only adds a collectible aspect but also celebrates the sneaker’s storied history within the skate and sneaker culture.
